THC is the primary cannabinoid responsible for the psychoactive effects associated with cannabis. The amount of THC in a product can vary widely based on the method of consumption and the strain at the source of that product. The high that is produced is often enhanced by the “entourage effect” which is a combination of multiple cannabinoids in conjunction with various terpenes and individual body chemistry.
CBD is the second most prevalent cannabinoid and is primarily produced by hemp plants and at lower amounts in cannabis. CBD has soared in popularity due to its non-psychoactive effects.
This indica-dominant cannabis oil is made from a cross of UK Cheese and Bubba Kush and suspended in a coconut carrier oil. Live cannabis oils are made exclusively from organic whole cannabis plants. Buds are removed from plants, frozen at harvest, and then trichomes removed using ice water extraction. Wet trichomes are directly infused into the carrier oil without drying. Using an innovative process invented by Earthwolf Farms' founders, the cannabis resin undergoes a one-step infusion and decarboxylation process designed to preserve the terpene content while being free of solvents.
In 2014, a local couple started an organic hops farm, and named it after the latin name for hops: Humulus Lupulus – EarthWolf Farms was born. The hops industry has left town, and today the farm is the site of their flagship cannabis cultivation site. Hops still continues to grow there, and they continue to add a diversity of species other than cannabis as they build a permaculture paradise.
